Crownvetch
Coronilla varia  L.
 
 
  • Perennial spreading by rhizomes
  • Pinnately compound multifoliolate odd leaf
  • White to purplish or pink flowers
  • Umbel type inflorescence
  • Seed looks like little cigars or donut sprinkles
  • Good conservation plant 
  • Used along roadsides (I-29 in northeast Missouri)
  • does not cause bloat
