GRADUATE STUDENT POSTER CONTEST

The Graduate Student Poster Contest was initiated at the 56th Annual Meeting held in Casper, Wyoming in 2003.  Graduate students in both Master’s and Ph.D. degree programs are eligible to participate.  Separate contests are held for students at Master’s and Ph.D. levels.  The student must have conducted the research presented in the poster to qualify.

Notice of the contest is included in the Call for Papers.  The poster must be accepted by the Annual Meeting Committee to be eligible for the competition.  Only one poster may be entered each year.  Students may enter as many posters as they wish during their degree programs.  However, students who have won first place in their category are not eligible to compete again.

Posters will be exhibited among other posters in similar topics during the poster sessions at the Annual Meeting.  The student author must be present and available to answer questions during the designated poster viewing time slot.  Two or more judges will evaluate each paper.

Posters are judged on scientific content, organization, and presentation skills.  First and second place winners are selected in each category and are awarded $200 and $100, respectively.
