URGENT

PHENOXY HERBICIDE TOXICITY TO GRAPEVINES (click here for the full article)
Alice Wise and Andy Senesac, who work with the Long Island grape and wine
industry, have written an excellent article on dealing with potential
problems of phytotoxicity to grapevines occasioned by drift of spray or
volatilized phenoxy herbicides, such as 2,4-D and Banvel. This article was
called to our attention by Ed Swanson, Cuthills Vineyards, and when Dr.
Wise was queried for permission to use it on our website, she encouraged
Dr. Senesac to up-date it prior to giving permission for its use. Dr.
Senesac has now revised and up-dated the article and provided the new
version to us for our use. We are placing it on our website
<http://agronomy.unl.edu/viticulture> and can provide hard copies to those
without access to the internet (call or send an email to Paul Read - tel:
402-472-5136, pread@unl.edu, or Donna Michel, tel: 402-472-8747 or
dmichel@unl.edu).
