Service Award Celebration honors 17 department employees

Seventeen Department of Agronomy and Horticulture employees were honored during a Celebration of Service event on Oct. 27 at the Nebraska Coliseum. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln honored 914 faculty and staff for their years of service to the university. The Celebration of Service included lunch and the program included presentation of awards to the 45-, 50-, and 55-year service award recipients, and “Milestones and Memories,” by Rick Alloway, associate professor of broadcasting in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

This year, employees were honored for achieving five-year service milestones, including 10 dedicated Huskers who have given 45, 50 and 55 years of service to Nebraska.

The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture’s John Rajewski, Research Technologist II, was honored for 45 years. Professor Kim Todd was honored for 40 years of service and George Graef, professor, was honored for 35 years of service.
