Tour will begin here (4018 Walker Ave, Lincoln, NE 68504) and from there we will caravan around East Campus to see research and have lunch.

    • A walking tour and presentations to learn more about specialty crop and local food systems research at UNL including:
      • Biodegradable and innovative plastic mulch films and weed barriers
      • Intercropping and double cropping vegetables, strawberries, and cut flowers
      • Vegetable and strawberry variety trials
      • Biochar, compost, cover crops, and soil health
    • A free heavy metals soil analysis, provided by Tyler Durre from Nebraska USDA NRCS.
    • A free sandwich lunch to network with other specialty crop growers.
