About Me
Maddie Weber is a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in agronomy and agricultural leadership, education and communication. In the summer of 2025, she worked as a communications and education intern for Missouri Soybeans.
Internship Responsibilities
In her internship, Weber was responsible for communication, outreach and event planning. She took photos, wrote articles, interviewed farmers and helped plan events. She also assisted with field days and FFA events. She even had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for work!
Learning Opportunities
Weber used this internship as an opportunity to learn more about communicating scientific and agronomic information. She learned how to talk to different audiences, including youth, farmers and the general public, a crucial skill for communicators in any industry.
Future Career Goals
Upon graduation, Weber would love to have a career that allows her to communicate agronomic and scientific topics. She does not have a dream job, but enjoys sharing agricultural information with others.
