The University of Nebraska–Lincoln conferred 1,149 degrees during commencement exercises Dec. 20 and 21 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Twenty-one undergraduate and 14 graduate students in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture received degrees.
Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the ceremonies.
A graduation celebration was held Dec. 20 in the Goodding Learning Center, 280 Plant Sciences Hall, to honor agronomy and horticulture graduates earning degrees. Food and refreshments were served, followed by an introduction of each graduate and time for family and friends to celebrate and take photos.
Undergraduate students Keeley Conrad, Daniel Frey, Zachary Johnson, Emma Kuss and Will Stalder earned bachelor's degrees with High Distinction. To be considered for High Distinction a student must submit a thesis, have a cumulative GPA of UNL hours 3.850 – 3.920 with a minimum of 60 credit hours at UNL and receive a good recommendation from their advisors.
