Service Award Celebration honors 24 department employees for their service to Nebraska

Twenty-four Department of Agronomy and Horticulture employees were honored during a Celebration of Service event on Nov. 18. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln honored 977 faculty and staff for their years of service to the university. The Celebration of Service featured an open house and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Coliseum. Honored employees picked up their service awards, and an all-star photography booth was available for photos. 

This year, employees were honored for achieving five-year service milestones, including 13 dedicated Huskers who have given 45, 50, 55 and 60 years of service to Nebraska. The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture’s Carol Caha, a lab manager and research technologist, was honored for 45 years. Professor Ellen Paparozzi and Ag Research Technician Ronnie Janssen were honored for 40 years of service. See the full list of department honorees here.
