David Obe is a doctoral candidate in the Complex Biosystems program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, working under the supervision of Mark Wilson. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Ekiti State University and his master’s degree in Membrane Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research integrates structural biology, bioinformatics, and biochemical approaches to study plant protein shaped through directed evolution, with the goal of improving biomass production and grain yield for sustainable agriculture.
