The Agronomy and Horticulture Alumni Advisory Council (AHAAC) invites nominations of Department of Agronomy and Horticulture alumnus who exemplify excellence in contributions, service and engagement.
The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed upon graduates of the department who have made significant contributions to their community, state and nation through professional service, public service and/or civic engagement. The award was founded by the AHAAC in 2016 to recognize alumni who have enhanced the reputation of the department and the university by distinguishing themselves in their careers. Honorees are selected by the AHAAC.
Nominations are due August 15, 2024.
Past nominees will also be considered, renomination is not necessary. Those currently nominated include: Francis A. Haskins, Virgil Johnson, Joseph Keaschall, Bob Nielsen, Tom S. Payne, Gary Petersen, Calvin Qualsett, William (Bill) Raun, James Schepers and Ray Ward.
Two 2024 Honorees will be announced by October 1, 2024.
