Professor Ellen Paparozzi was interviewed as an ASHS HortLegend by Sam Wortman, associate professor of agronomy and horticulture, at the American Society for Horticultural Science annual conference in Chicago in August and highlighted in the Oct. 15 issue of the ASHS E-News.
Ellen explains how horticulture has been a continuous thread throughout her life, starting from her early childhood. The most rewarding experiences she said are working with and advising her students, many of whom have continued on to established careers in various areas of horticulture.
Paparozzi’s advice to students: “Get out of your comfort zone. Make an effort to meet people in other departments. Go to the ASHS conference every year.”
