Commencement celebration online Dec. 19

Thursday, December 17, 2020

On Dec. 19, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will confer about 1,400 degrees during “Go Big Grad: A Husker Graduation,” at 9:00 a.m. CST featuring a conversation with Nebraska alumnus Warren Buffett (’51).

The event will be streamed here. No registration is required. All undergraduate, master’s, professional, doctoral and College of Law graduates, as well as their families and friends, are invited to join.

The celebration will include guest appearances by notable Nebraskans, campus leaders and alumni. At the end of the celebration, Chancellor Green will confer degrees with a turning of the tassel moment for graduates.

Graduates can celebrate the day by sharing their customized digital slide (available at the commencement website beginning Dec. 19), hosting a virtual watch party with loved ones or using the hashtag #GoBigGrad on social media.

Along with the online celebration, the university is also allowing all May, August and December 2020 graduates the opportunity to participate in any future commencement ceremony with special recognition.

All December 2020 graduates will receive a Go Big Grad Celebration box that includes items to commemorate their achievement.
