Description: History, breeding and production of cannabis for medicinal marijuana and hemp for fiber use when grown using a growth room, greenhouse, high tunnel and/or field. Clarification between scientific evidence and casual information.

Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives

  1. Demonstrate via examination an understanding of how to breed dioecious crops specifically feminized seed production.
  2. Examine and understand the plasticity of the Cannabis genome.
  3. Design a breeding or research experiment.
