Sixty-seven undergraduate students in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture have been named to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources spring 2022 Dean’s list. Students must have a 3.75 minimum grade-point average on a four-point scale and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours to qualify. The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture will host a special seminar featuring guest speaker Shofia Saleh July 11. Saleh will present “Swimming in Boiling Water: Working at the Intersection of Oil Palm Production and Protection of Fragile Ecosystems in Indonesia.”

The seminar will take place at 3 p.m. CDT in person in Keim Hall, Room 150, and streamed live at go.unl.edu/agrohortseminar.

Husker team leads effort to help sorghum defend itself from aphid attacks Wednesday, June 22, 2022

Francis to retire after 45 years at Nebraska Thursday, June 9, 2022

Charles “Chuck” Francis, University of Nebraska–Lincoln professor in agronomy and horticulture, will retire June 30 after a 45-year career at Nebraska.

A reception in his honor will take place June 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Goodding Learning Center. Cake will be served, and a program will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friends and colleagues can leave a note or photo memory in the online guestbook.
