The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture will host a special seminar featuring guest speaker Shofia Saleh July 11. Saleh will present “Swimming in Boiling Water: Working at the Intersection of Oil Palm Production and Protection of Fragile Ecosystems in Indonesia.”
The seminar will take place at 3 p.m. CDT in person in Keim Hall, Room 150, and streamed live at go.unl.edu/agrohortseminar.

Francis to retire after 45 years at Nebraska Thursday, June 9, 2022

Charles “Chuck” Francis, University of Nebraska–Lincoln professor in agronomy and horticulture, will retire June 30 after a 45-year career at Nebraska.
A reception in his honor will take place June 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Goodding Learning Center. Cake will be served, and a program will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friends and colleagues can leave a note or photo memory in the online guestbook.
