Nebraska team takes fourth in Turf Bowl Tuesday, February 9, 2021

A University of Nebraska–Lincoln turfgrass competition team earned fourth place at the 27th Annual Collegiate Turf Bowl competition announced Feb. 4 by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. This is the highest finish in this contest for a Nebraska team since the Huskers placed eighth in 2017.

Twidwell awarded range and conservation endowment Friday, February 5, 2021

Dirac Twidwell, associate professor and rangeland ecologist in agronomy and horticulture, was presented with the Nebraska Cattle­men Foundation’s Nebraska Range and Conservation Endowment award and grant during the virtual 2020 Nebraska Cattlemen Annual Convention Dec. 1–4.

Grad student gets snowy introduction to Nebraska Wednesday, January 27, 2021

The day after arriving in Lincoln to start his master’s degree in agronomy and horticulture at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Juan Jiménez woke up Jan. 23 and thought it seemed exceptionally sunny. Not quite. He looked outside and was greeted by something he’d never seen before — snow. About 1.5 inches had coated the ground.
