Planting innovation: Schnable Lab maintains research momentum Wednesday, June 10, 2020

James Schnable, Charles O. Gardner Professor of Agronomy, along with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in his lab, returned to campus last month to plant hundreds of corn and sorghum varieties in fields on East Campus and the university's Havelock Farm. Lab members began planting corn on May 6 and will finish their last sorghum field on June 8.

Mohr 2020–2021 awards include Joshua Miranda, agronomy master’s student in weed science, and undergraduate agronomy majors Ryan Beck (junior) and Nathan Donoghue (junior), and plant biology majors Samuel Polk (senior), Elizabeth Schousek (junior) and Caleb Wehrbein (senior).

48 Agronomy and Horticulture students earn degrees in May Thursday, May 21, 2020
Class of 2020
The university conferred 3,478 degrees during the virtual celebration May 9. It was the second-highest degree total in the university’s history. Forty-eight of the graduates are from the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln senior Chad Lammers will finish college with more than a degree. He will graduate May 9 virtually, along with more than 3,500 Huskers, and receive a Bachelor of Science in plant biology.
