Sindelar recipient of graduate student travel fund Thursday, March 17, 2016

The Graduate Committee in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture has chosen Michael Sindelar, an agronomy graduate student specializing in soil and water sciences, as the recipient of the 2016 Daniel T. Walters Graduate Student Travel Fund. This award provides up to $500 for expenses to present research at a professional meeting.

Mamo honored with teaching excellence award Friday, March 4, 2016

Grassini awarded Junior Faculty for Excellence in Research Friday, February 19, 2016

Patricio Grassini, assistant professor of agronomy and horticulture and a fellow of the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute and the Center for Great Plains Studies, has been named recipient of the Junior Faculty for Excellence in Research Award provided by the Branham Endowment Fund for 2015-2016.

Goodding Learning Center rededicated Friday, February 19, 2016

The Goodding Learning Center, located in 280 Plant Sciences Hall on East Campus, was rededicated Jan. 15. Steve Waller, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources dean, Roch Gaussoin, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture department head, and Rich Goodding, grandson of Dr. Thomas H. Goodding, provided comments.

Fifty-five Agronomy and Horticulture students make Dean's List Friday, February 19, 2016

Fifty-five undergraduate students in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture qualified for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Fall 2015, Dean’s list. Students must have a 3.75 minimum grade-point average on a four-point scale and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours to qualify. Lenihan wins Sports Turf Managers Association scholarship Friday, February 19, 2016

Jeff Lenihan, a junior turfgrass & landscape management major, was one of six, four-year undergraduate students in the nation to win a Foundation for Safer Athletic Fields scholarship at the 2016 Sports Turf Managers Association national conference in San Diego, California.
